He is President of the General Assembly of the Macau European Chamber of Commerce, and Vice Chairman and founder of BBAM – the British Business Association of Macao.

JOSÉ BRAZ-GOMES

jose-braz-gomesJosé Braz-Gomes in 1982 started his overseas assignment in BNU Macau. In 2010 he was appointed General Manager of the Offshore Subsidiary of Caixa Geral de Depósitos. He is also VicePresident of Macao Military Club. He was a member of the Chief Executive Election Committee.

paul-tsePaul Tse is the Executive Director of Golden Crown Development Limited. He is also President of The Macao Association of Building Contractors and Developers, and Honorary President of The Asian Association of Management Organizations. Chairman of The American Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director of The Macao Chamber of Commerce, and member of several Macau SAR Government councils.

PAULA LING HSIAO YUN

paula-lingPaula Ling, has been a lawyer in private practice in Macau since 1993 and a notary public since 1997; she was a member of the Preparatory Committee for the Macau Special Administrative Region and of the Selection Committee of the Chief Executive of the Macau S.A.R.; member of the Macau Lawyers Association’s committee, she also has been the chairman of the Macau Lawyers Superior Council; member of the People’s Congress of China; member of the Committee for the Basic Law of the Macao S.A.R. under the Standing Committee of the same Congress and a member of the Election Committee of the Chief Executive of the Macao S.A.R.

RUTGER VERSCHUREN

rutger-verschurenRutger Verschuren, a Dutch national, is since 2010 Chief Operating Officer – Hospitality Division of Shun Tak Holdings Ltd (Macau) with assignments, among others, to support Artyzen Hospitality Group, the hotel management subsidiary of Shun Tak Holdings Ltd, with management of their properties in Macau. He was previously Managing Director of Sheraton Macao Hotel and Vice President Operations of Dusit International. He is currently Chairman of the French Macau Business Association and Vice President of the General Assembly of MECC.

TERRY SIO

terry-sioTerry Sio, a Macau-born entrepreneur, is the president and founder of Rainbow Group. Over the past 30 years, Terry has nurtured Rainbow Group from a single store in Macau to one of the leading European luxury brand retail networks in China and Macau, with over 150 points of sale in more than 20 cities in China.

kok-seng-vongVong Kok Seng is involved in a variety of service and industry business. He is currently Vice-President of Directors Board of Macao Chamber of Commerce, and Executive Board member of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). He participates actively in a number of commercial and charity associations, as well as Government Committees. He was conferred with the medal for Industrial and Commercial Merit.

pak-hung-lauLau Pak Hung is the CEO of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) in Macau. He is also the Vice-Chairman of The Macau Association of Banks and a council member of the Macau Management Association. Joined HSBC in 1986, he held various management positions including a number of overseas assignments over the past 29 years.

anabela-ritchieAnabela Ritchie is a member of the University Council of the University of Macau, a member of the Executive Committee of University of Macau Development Foundation and also a member of the Board of Trustees of Macau Foundation. She was a member of the Legislative Assembly for 6 mandates (1976-2001), having been the President from 1992-1999. She was also a member of the Council of Judicial Magistrates from 2003-2015.

A long–term resident of Macau, he has held a number of senior roles across product management, marketing, wholesale, business development, engineering and sales. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the British Business Association of Macau.

JACKY SO YUK-CHOW

jacky-so-yuk-chowJacky So Yuk-Chow is the dean and Chair Professor of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Macau. He is also Co-Director of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management and Executive Director of the Academy of Entrepreneurial Finance, and board member of the Global Finance Journal, Journal of International Business, and several organizations. In 2014, he was visiting scholar in the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Asia and Pacific Department and received the Education Leadership Award at the award ceremony of the Asia’s Best B-School Awards 2014 held in Singapore. Prof. So is the first from Macao to receive this award.

JOÃO FRANCISCO PINTO

joao-francisco-pintoJoão Francisco Pinto is the chairperson of the Portuguese and English Press Association of Macau, an organization set to uphold the basic principles of freedom of the press and freedom of speech in Macau. His career spans more than 20 years, during which time he has worked as a newspaper, radio and TV journalist. Currently João Francisco Pinto is the News Controller at TDM, Macau’s public broadcaster. Recently, he was elected as the chairman for ABU (Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union) News Group for a three-year term.

JOÃO RODRIGUES MONTEIRO

joao-rodrigues-monteiroJoão Rodrigues Monteiro got a degree in Finance. He was former head of Internal Audit of Monetary Authority of Macau (AMCM). Has extensive experience in the fields of finance and accounting, since 1973. Is also a registered auditor in CRAC of Macau Tax Bureau. Currently is administrator of GEP-Project Managers Ltd.

LARRY SO

larry-so-man-yumLarry So retired from Macao Polytechnic Institute (IPM) last year but took up part time teaching after retirement. He taught social work in IPM and worked in this field in Hong Kong, Canada and USA. He is concerned about Macau’s social and economic development and its impact on the local community. He has thus advocated policy addressing the issues such as betterment of social welfare, poverty and pathological gambling, from the Government.

MANUELA ANTONIO

manuela-antonioManuela António’s experience was centered at the Ministry of Finance of Portugal, prior to being appointed Chief of the Taxation and Excise Services in Macau. Resuming a passion that dates back to 1975, in 1986 she left to open her private practice as a lawyer and private notary.

mary-hoMary Ho moved to Macau in 1983 and has been a Director of McMac Co. Ltd. (McDonald’s Macau) since its formation in 1985. She also served on the Executive Committee of the International Ladies Club of Macau (ILCM) from 1987-1990. She is a long time supporter of Ronald McDonald House and Half the Sky organizations.

pawin-sriusvagoolPawin is the GM and Head of Zung Fu Motors (Macau), the exclusive retailer of Mercedes-Benz cars in Hong Kong and Macau. Pawin is in charge of the overall operations of Mercedes-Benz in Macau. In addition, Pawin also serves as the coordinator for Jardine Matheson businesses in Macau.

PEDRO CORTÉS

pedro-cortesPedro Cortés has a Law degree at the Portuguese Catholic University and a Post Graduation in International Management. He has been a lawyer since 2003 and is a member of the Macau Lawyers Association, of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and of the International Association of Gaming Advisers. He is also a Part-time lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

MSO consists of three major departments: Department of Sports, Department of Administration and Department of Social Services. The organisation do not only endeavor to give their athletes opportunities to develop physical fitness, but also, to help them gain self-confidence and learn necessary working and social skills that empower them to be more accepted. Every year, MSO organises events and programs covering a variety of aspects, such as sports training, vocational rehabilitation and special education.

GOOD SHEPERD SISTERS

nonprofit_goodGood Shepherd Sisters are an International Religious Community, present in 70 countries worldwide. In 1990 they founded in Macau the Good Shepherd Centre, a crisis shelter for women and girls in difficult, marginalized or distressing situations. The majority of the women who come to the Centre, often accompanied by their young children, are victims of domestic violence. More than 90% of the cases are local residents and Chinese from the mainland, but the Center also extends their help to other nationalities. In 1998 Good Shepherd Sisters Women’s Mutual Help Centre was founded for single parent mothers. In addition to the shelter and community service, the Good Shepherd Sisters are involved in education projects relating to women’s issues and committed to raise awareness for problems such as domestic violence and human trafficking, among others.

INTERNATIONAL LADIES CLUB OF MACAU

nonprofit_laydiesThe International Ladies Club of Macau (ILCM) is a non-profit organisation, which engages in projects that help to support over 20 charities in Macau, for the last 32 years. ILCM has organised many fund raising events and activities to help abandoned babies, neglected and abused children, children needing protection, women and children victims of domestic violence, forgotten elderly and disadvantaged disabled, victims of drugs abuse, and students with talent that requires financial assistance. For ILCM, helping charities is not just about money; it also raises awareness in the community regarding the institutions that need support. The organisation’s activities are run 100% by volunteers, who use their skills and their time to help others and support the Macau community.
