Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada with nearly 9,000 employees worldwide, Scientific Games serves customers out of manufacturing and operational facilities based in North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia. In November 2014, Scientific Games acquired Bally Technologies, in a transaction valued at $5.1 billion to create a larger gaming, lottery entertainment, and technology company. Following its acquisition of Bally Technologies, the Scientific Games portfolio of products and solutions grew to include casino management systems, table products such as automatic shufflers, proprietary table games, electronic table systems and electronic gaming machines. In 2013, Bally Technologies also acquired SHFL entertainment for $1.3 billion in a deal that combined two complementary gaming-technology companies.
